Class of 2021: Jose Phillips

My name is Cadet Jose Phillips, my hometown is Miami, Florida and my school is Evanston Township High school. The sports that I have done growing up has been basketball, soccer, football, and some tennis and while I was in Sea Cadets

While I haven’t attended any trainings due to COVID shut-down, the most memorable thing I have done while being in Sea Cadets was probably learning how to march and the marksmanship shooting. The most challenging thing while doing the marching was probably learning it in general. There are a lot of things that I needed to learn that can be pretty confusing. Learning the 11 general orders was also a pretty big challenge.

Where to next?

There are a lot of things that I am going to do after graduation. I am going to be studying Astrophysics while also fast-tracking my school education. I am hoping to be in some sort of job that has to do with math and sciences.
