March drill kicked off with energy and enthusiasm as cadets tackled another weekend of hands-on culinary training and completed their Physical Readiness Tests (PRT) and swim qualifications.
Shifting focus to uniforms, we're gearing up for transition to summer whites. Ms. Ruzicka and Mr. Keyser are leading the uniform issue process, dedicating their time to ensuring cadets have everything they need. Inspections were conducted on summer dress whites and new cadets continue receiving their gear with the goal of completing their full seabag.
Instructor Burkut led mandatory SASP training providing a refresher for the current marksmanship team while introducing fundamentals to new cadets. This is important for the cadets who will hone their skills in a competitive shooting environment.

Enter the Battle of the Burgers! Cadets took on the challenge of crafting hamburgers from scratch experimenting with seasonings and herbs to achieve perfect flavor. With adult supervision, they manned the gills, turning out delicious burgers, sliders, and grilled chicken. This wasn't 'just a cooking exercise - it was a competition! Team Toilet Bowl Disaster took home the title of Best Burger, earning top marks not only for taste, but also for teamwork, preparation, and safety.
With Sunday came the much anticipated PRT, the weekend's main event. Every cadet successfully completed their PRT and those testing for swim qualifications passed as well. A special thank you to Chief Stanford for leading the PRT and ensuring cadets met the challenge head on. Afterward, the SeaPerch team took to the deep end, successfully completing an underwater mission.

A big thank you to Ms. Keyser for once again, providing fantastic chow! She made sure that we had all of the fixings for burgers and bag lunches to-go on PRT day keeping everyone fueled and ready to perform.
As we conclude the culinary curriculum, we extend a special thank you to the staff for planning engaging cooking activities, assisting with instruction, and providing cadets the opportunity to put their skills to the test in the kitchen.
As this drill season nears its end, cadets are shifting their focus toward advanced training, preparing to take on new challenges at their respective locations. Bravo Zulu to all for their hard work and dedication.
