On July 21, 2024, the Sea Cadets 9-1-1 Division proudly participated in the Fiesta Days Parade with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4600, a cherished event organized by the McHenry Chamber of Commerce. The parade route took participants down Main Street, continuing to Green Street, Pearl Street, and Riverside Drive in McHenry, IL.
Over 2,500 enthusiastic spectators lined the streets, eagerly watching the vibrant parade. The McHenry Fiesta Days is a celebrated multiday event that draws crowds from near and far.

First Week Festivities
The first week of the event, held at Petersen Park, kicked off with the highly anticipated Annual Cask and Barrel Night on Thursday. The festivities continued into the weekend with the Music Fest, filling the air with lively tunes and festive cheer. Sunday was a day of free admission, featuring an exciting car show, the Beach Bash, a thrilling Big Wheel Race, and a dazzling fireworks display. The carnival, a staple of the celebration, ran from July 12-14, offering fun for all ages.
Second Week Celebrations
The second week of the McHenry Fiesta Days transitioned to Veterans Memorial Park and Downtown McHenry. The festivities included a Concert in the Park, an Art and Street Fair, and the famous Art in the Park. The grand finale of the festival was the Fiesta Days Parade on July 21, a spectacular culmination of the event.
