On October 22, 2022 USNSCC 9-1-1 DIvision attended the Waukegan Harbor & Marina Clean up organized by the Double Action Dive Charters and supported by the Waukegan Fire Department.
The goal of this event was to clean the bottom of the Lake Michigan in the Marina and catalog findings. All attending were separated in Scuba diving clean up crew.and Shore Support. Sea Cadets were paired up with the divers to complete the clean up group.
Each group logged the Diving team, followed them on the shore and catalog their findings.
At the end of the event the clean up crew came to the conclusion that the Marina has been in an excellent shape. The findings included a fishing line, a water bottle, and an extension cord.
