During the November Drill (11-12 November, 2023) our unit was split into two groups. Sea Cadets have covered the Red Cross First Aid curriculum, and League cadets worked with a Guest Instructor Liz Moore on the First Aid Basics. Our STEM Club was founded in 2020 and continued to explore STEM topics in 2022-23. Three teams worked on their SeaPerch kits and created underwater ROV that competed in the regional SeaPerch Competition. The Navy Great Lakes Regional SeaPerch Competition was sponsored by The Lake County Council of the Navy League and the National Museum of the American Sailor (NMAS). On April 22, 2024, USNSCC 9-1-1 Division attended the Land and Beach clean-up at the Waukegan Yacht Club. The team covered the Yacht club grounds, collecting various garbage items. After that, cadets relocated to the shore of Lake Michigan and continued the project on the beach.
