November 2023 Drill
During the November Drill (11-12 November, 2023) our unit was split into two groups. Sea Cadets have covered the Red Cross First Aid curriculum, and League cadets worked with a Guest Instructor Liz Moore on the First Aid Basics. October 2023 Drill
The Division met on October 14-15, 2023, for a Drill at the Great Lakes Naval Base. We had a fantastic drill last weekend, and cadets learned a lot about Honor Guard skills with the help of our guest instructors, LCDR Clark and LCDR Olsen, from Big Sandy, TX. Naval Sea Cadets Shine at the Navy Ball 2023
The Navy Ball 2023 took on October 13, 2023, and the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps 9-1-1 Division was invited to participate. September 2023 Drill
On September 9-10, 2023, USNSCC 9-1-1 Division cadets met for the September Drill. The drill's Saturday part took place at the Van Patten Woods (Youth Campground ) in Wadsworth, Illinois. On August 5-6 of 2023, we were happy to welcome cadets back for the first drill of the season. Saturday Drill occurred at the American Legion Post 771 in Gurnee, IL. Sea Perch 2023 Competition
Our STEM Club was founded in 2020 and continued to explore STEM topics in 2022-23. Three teams worked on their SeaPerch kits and created underwater ROV that competed in the regional SeaPerch Competition. The Navy Great Lakes Regional SeaPerch Competition was sponsored by The Lake County Council of the Navy League and the National Museum of the American Sailor (NMAS). Earth Day 2023 Clean-up
On April 22, 2024, USNSCC 9-1-1 Division attended the Land and Beach clean-up at the Waukegan Yacht Club. The team covered the Yacht club grounds, collecting various garbage items. After that, cadets relocated to the shore of Lake Michigan and continued the project on the beach.

On January 21, 2023, USNSCC 9-1-1 Division hosted swim qualifications for their cadets.
